Starlight Bolt

Bolts are a type of mammalian dragon (hence the loooong necks and legs...and tails. And legs.) They are mostly carnivorous pack hunters, but will sometimes climb trees or rear up on their hind legs for fruit. They can be kept as pets, but, they don't make very good ones, and you need a special permit to keep them. Even so, there are a few special breeders out there who trade their bolts around in order to get the best colorations. Bolts plating, fur, and legs are all mineral/element/crystal coloration that really doesn't mix, but their claws and eyes do change color, so that's what they're mainly looking for. For example, if you bred a white-crystal and an iron bolt together, the babies would be white-crystal OR iron overall...except the claw/eye colors COULD be switched, giving the iron baby blue (or white) claws and the white-crystal baby orangerust colored claws.

Another tidbit, Their fur also has some kind of dry colorless substance on it that reduces air drag close to zero...it simply doesn't 'stick' to it.

I don't know what to title this, arrgghhh!? Wow, I haven't given anything a real title in so long. >_> This one really suuuuuucks. I guess I'll change it if I can think of something better.

Been wanting to draw a white/crystal bolt (should have left it white claws, but oh well) for awhile. Required a dark background for it. >_> I really wanted it's plates to be more white (the color was originally going to be some kind of iridescence) but overall I like it.

Didn't take me that long to color! Only like an hour?? The actual drawing took longer.

Really want to do some real characters now though :b
